These markets track how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Michigan State and Wisconsin. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams collectively in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the designated Michigan State vs Wisconsin college football game. A 'Yes' outcome occurs when the combined score exceeds the specified threshold for each market. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original scheduled start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the final official result. Should the game fail to start within this 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the standard 4th quarter count; overtime points are excluded from all calculations.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by experts, while this market’s price is determined by individuals trading contracts based on their own analysis and beliefs. It's common to see differences emerge, especially as new information becomes available or public opinion shifts. These differences can sometimes indicate where the market anticipates a different outcome than the consensus in traditional betting.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of the event occurring. As more people buy contracts predicting a certain outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the collective intelligence of the traders. The current price reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the total points scored in the 4th quarter of the Michigan State vs Wisconsin game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and used to determine whether the contracts predicting the total points were accurate. All trading will cease once the outcome is known, and contracts will be settled accordingly.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Michigan State or Wisconsin would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest a high-scoring or low-scoring game, could also move the market. Additionally, in-game performance during the first three quarters could shift expectations about the final quarter’s total points, leading to increased trading activity and price fluctuations.
