This market tracks which team will score more points in the second quarter of a college football game between Michigan State and Wisconsin. It reflects the competitive dynamics of the game during a specific period, offering insight into potential momentum shifts. The outcome depends solely on second-quarter performance, not the overall game result.
The market resolves based on which team scores the most points in the second quarter of the designated Michigan State vs. Wisconsin college football game. If Wisconsin scores more points in that quarter, the market resolves to Yes for Wisconsin. If Michigan State scores more points, the market resolves to Yes for Michigan State. If both teams score an equal number of points, the market resolves to Yes for the Tie outcome. For postponements, if the game starts within 48 hours of its original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the actual second-quarter result. If the game does not start within this window, the market resolves to a fair price. Only points scored during the second quarter count toward the outcome.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as the event approaches. Sportsbooks initially set lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to continuously update their assessments based on new information and analysis. However, differences can occur due to varying levels of information available to each group and differing motivations – sportsbooks aim to profit, while prediction market participants are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. It's common to see this market diverge from initial sportsbook offerings as more data becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome – in this case, either Michigan State or Wisconsin winning the second quarter. The price of each contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust, reflecting the evolving collective prediction. The higher the price, the greater the implied probability of that team winning the second quarter.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team of the second quarter of the Michigan State vs Wisconsin game will determine the winning contract. The resolution will be based on the official game results as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders holding the winning contract will receive a payout equivalent to the final market price of that contract, less any fees. It’s important to monitor official sources for the final result to understand the resolution of this market.
Several factors could influence the trading activity and price movement in this market.
