Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can sometimes differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on their own analysis and may incorporate a margin for profit, while this market allows traders to collectively assess the probabilities. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities of the same event occurring, and neither is guaranteed to be perfectly accurate.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived chance of success. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth, or the number of buy and sell orders at different price points, influences how quickly prices adjust to new information. As more traders participate and express their views, the price converges towards a collective assessment of the likelihood of each team winning Map 2.

This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winner of Map 2 in the MIBR vs Eternal Fire match will determine the resolution. The platform will rely on official tournament results and widely available sources to verify the outcome. It’s important to note that the resolution process is focused on confirming the factual result of the match, and does not involve subjective interpretation or external judgment.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or potential roster changes for either MIBR or Eternal Fire could shift trader sentiment. In-game performance during Map 1, if it occurs before resolution, will likely have a significant impact, as it provides insight into each team’s current capabilities. Unexpected announcements, such as a key player being ruled out due to illness or injury, could also cause substantial price movement in this market.
