This set of markets tracks how many points Miami (FL) and Clemson score specifically in the second quarter of their college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams during that quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second quarter of the Miami (FL) vs Clemson college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-quarter points exceed the threshold (2.5, 5.5, 7.5, 10.5, 12.5, 13.5, 16.5, 19.5, 20.5, 23.5, or 27.5), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of how each venue operates. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available or as the event draws closer. Comparing the two can provide a more comprehensive view of potential outcomes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the outcome. The price of a contract indicates the probability of that outcome occurring; a higher price suggests greater confidence. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are constantly adjusting their positions based on new information and their own analysis, which dynamically updates the price. The market's depth and volume – currently $53,370 – provide insights into the level of conviction among participants regarding the total points scored in the 2nd quarter.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the 2nd quarter of the Miami vs Clemson game will be used to determine whether the 'Over' or 'Under' contract wins. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and will be publicly available following the conclusion of the game. Traders will be able to claim their winnings or address any discrepancies through Kalshi’s resolution process.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Injury reports for key players on either the Miami or Clemson teams would be significant, as would any changes to the weather forecast. Unexpected news regarding team strategy or coaching decisions could also impact trader sentiment. As the game approaches, real-time updates on player availability and performance in the first quarter will likely drive significant movement. Even public perception, reflected in news coverage and social media, can contribute to shifts in the market price.
