This set of markets focuses on predicting the point differential in the second quarter of a college football game between Miami (FL) and Clemson. Each market corresponds to a specific point margin threshold, allowing participants to bet on whether the winning team will exceed that margin during that specific quarter.
The markets resolve based on the point differential in the second quarter of the Miami (FL) vs Clemson college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. For markets where Miami (FL) must win by a specified margin (e.g., over 10.5, 7.5, 6.5, 4.5, 3.5, or 2.5 points), the market resolves to Yes only if Miami (FL) achieves that margin during the second quarter. Conversely, for markets where Clemson must win by a specified margin (e.g., over 2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points), the market resolves to Yes only if Clemson achieves that margin during the second quarter. Only points scored during the second quarter count toward the resolution. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, aiming to balance action on both sides. This market, however, allows individuals to trade on their own beliefs, potentially leading to odds that more accurately predict the actual outcome as new information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, late-breaking news, or simply the dynamic nature of a fluid market where traders adjust their positions based on evolving insights. It's common to see prediction markets move closer to the final result as the event approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the second quarter of the game. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as determined by supply and demand. Traders who believe the actual spread will be higher than the current market price buy contracts, while those who believe it will be lower sell them. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic process ensures that the market price continually adjusts to incorporate new information and changing expectations, offering a real-time assessment of the likely outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point spread for the second quarter of the Miami vs Clemson game, as officially recorded by sports data providers, will determine the winning contracts. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct spread will receive a payout, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their investment. The resolution process relies on publicly available, authoritative data to ensure a fair and transparent outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Miami or Clemson would likely cause a shift in the spread. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also move the market. Significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks could also influence trading here, as information about public sentiment spreads. Finally, any late-breaking news related to team strategy or coaching decisions could prompt traders to reassess their positions and adjust the price of contracts in this market.
