Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Kalshi and Polymarket both resolve based on the official match outcome (win, loss, or draw) within 90 minutes plus stoppage time on March 31, 2026, using FIFA or official governing body statistics as the primary source.
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from FIFA or the event organizers (governing body)
Core resolution logic:
Market resolves YES if Belgium wins the match within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if Mexico wins the match within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Exactly one of these three outcomes will occur and resolve to YES; the other two resolve to NO.
Resolution excludes extra time and penalties; only regular play and stoppage time count.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, both platforms keep their markets open until the game is completed and a result is determined.
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, Polymarket's draw market resolves YES, while the Belgium-win and Mexico-win markets resolve NO. Kalshi's resolution rules do not explicitly address cancellation, but standard practice would treat a canceled match as unresolved or void.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of final match statistics by FIFA or the governing body within 2 hours after the match conclusion; if not published within 2 hours, a consensus of credible reporting may be used.
