PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's resolution logic resolves to 'Yes' for either team winning, while Polymarket and Predict resolve to the specific winning team.Hero tip: Be cautious about position sizing on Kalshi, as any win will resolve the market to 'Yes', potentially creating unexpected correlations. Consider focusing on Polymarket or Predict for a more direct bet on the winning team.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves to the specific winning team. "If the Mercer Bears win, the market will resolve to "Mercer Bears". If the Virginia Tech Hokies win, the market will resolve to "Virginia Tech Hokies".
  • Kalshi: Resolves to 'Yes' if either team wins. "If Virginia Tech wins...then the market resolves to Yes. If Mercer wins...then the market resolves to Yes."
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Currently, the aggregated volume across both platforms is $58, with $58 traded in the last 24 hours. The current market view indicates Mercer Bears vs. Virginia Tech Hokies is the most likely outcome, reflecting the combined probabilities from both venues. This aggregated view provides a more robust signal than looking at any single platform in isolation.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. In contrast, prediction markets allow anyone to trade, and prices are driven purely by supply and demand – the collective belief of participants. This can lead to prediction market odds being more accurate, especially when there’s significant public information available. However, sportsbook odds may react more quickly to breaking news or injuries, while this market reflects a broader consensus.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict may differ due to variations in user base, trading volume, and market-specific rules. Polymarket might attract a different type of trader than Predict, leading to differing opinions reflected in the price. Furthermore, the liquidity and volume on each platform can influence price discovery. A small amount of trading on one platform can cause larger price swings than on a more liquid platform. Currently, Mercer Bears vs. Virginia Tech Hokies is the leading outcome across both platforms, but the specific probabilities may vary.

This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Mercer vs. Virginia Tech game will be used to determine the winning outcome in this market. We rely on publicly available and widely accepted sources to verify the result, ensuring a transparent and accurate resolution process. Traders should monitor news sources and official game results as the resolution date approaches to stay informed about potential catalysts.

Several signals or events could significantly impact this market before it resolves. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Mercer Bears or the Virginia Tech Hokies would likely cause shifts in the odds. Major coaching changes, unexpected weather forecasts for the game location, or significant changes in team performance during subsequent games could also influence trader sentiment. Public perception, as reflected in media coverage and social media discussions, can also play a role in moving the market, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
