These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the first half of a college football game, with each market requiring a different minimum point threshold to be met or exceeded for resolution. The outcomes depend solely on the game's first-half scoring dynamics.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the first half of the Memphis vs Tulane college football game scheduled for October 16, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from over 2.5 points to over 41.5 points); if the combined first-half score exceeds the respective threshold, the market resolves to Yes, otherwise No. Only points scored in the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or when public opinion strongly favors one outcome. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the expected result, and potentially identify opportunities where the market differs from conventional wisdom.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the group. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current top outcome, according to traders on Kalshi, is Over 16.5 1H points scored, though the chance percentage is not currently available.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the first half between Memphis and Tulane will be used to determine whether the total points scored fall above or below the relevant threshold. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and will be publicly available shortly after the conclusion of the first half. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will be paid out according to the final market prices.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Memphis or Tulane teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also shift expectations. Late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions might also cause traders to reassess the probabilities. Finally, as the game approaches, any significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks could also influence trading activity on Kalshi.
