Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it could signal an opportunity for informed traders. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies and information sets.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities accordingly.

This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official result of the Melisek vs. Dvoracek match, as reported by the governing sports organization. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome resolves as correct and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand the resolution process.
