Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their books and include a profit margin, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that prediction market participants possess information or insights not yet fully incorporated by sportsbooks. However, as the event approaches, these odds tend to converge as more information becomes available and market participants refine their predictions.

The market’s price fluctuates based on supply and demand; increased buying pressure drives the price up, indicating growing confidence, while increased selling pressure lowers the price.
