Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks may set lines based on team rankings and public perception, while this market incorporates a continuous flow of information and betting activity. If initial sportsbook odds underestimate or overestimate a team’s chances, the prediction market may adjust more rapidly as new information emerges and traders refine their assessments. It’s common to see prediction markets offer more accurate probabilities, particularly closer to the event date, as the collective intelligence of traders weighs in.
