Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own analysis and to balance betting action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If prediction market odds diverge significantly from sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that new information hasn't yet been fully incorporated into the sportsbook's lines.
