Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring profit regardless of the outcome. This market, however, represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately assess the probability of the event. As a result, the implied probabilities from Limitless often align more closely with true probabilities, though discrepancies can occur due to differing information or risk appetites. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds in accuracy.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the outcome. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of traders about the likelihood of Manchester United winning by two or more goals. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to create a real-time probability assessment of the event.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Manchester United versus Tottenham match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official match result, specifically whether Manchester United won the game by a margin of two or more goals. The final score will be the determining factor, and the market will settle accordingly, reflecting the actual outcome of the match as reported by official sources.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market leading up to Oct 11, 2026. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Manchester United or Tottenham would likely have a significant impact. Any changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or off-field issues could also contribute to price movements, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
