In the upcoming Premier League game between Manchester United FC and Aston Villa FC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 11:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Manchester United FC vs. Aston Villa FC match originally scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 11:30 AM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Premier League (https://www.premierleague.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction markets like Polymarket often reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ that can differ from traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market is driven purely by participants’ beliefs about the probability of each exact first-half score. You may find that the implied probabilities on Polymarket are more accurate, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison, and discrepancies can present potential trading opportunities.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score in the first half. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective assessment of the likelihood of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing sentiment. The market’s depth—indicated by the volume traded—shows how much confidence there is in each outcome. Currently, the most favored outcome, 'Any Other Score?', has a chance percentage of 50.0%.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final score at the end of the first half of the Manchester United versus Aston Villa match will determine the winning outcome. The result will be sourced from official match data and widely available sports news outlets. Traders who correctly predicted the exact first-half score will be paid out according to the final market prices at resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Manchester United or Aston Villa would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also impact expectations. Even weather conditions on match day could play a role, potentially favoring one team’s style of play over the other. Finally, public sentiment and late-breaking analysis from sports commentators could also contribute to price movements on Polymarket.
