Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, which can differ from sportsbook odds influenced by house biases and traditional betting limits. Sportsbooks may adjust their lines based on public betting patterns, but this market allows anyone to express their belief, potentially leading to different probabilities. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when there's significant public interest or debate surrounding a match like Manchester United versus Tottenham. Examining these differences can reveal insights into where the crowd believes the value lies.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether both Manchester United and Tottenham will score. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective probability assigned by traders. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe both teams will score, the higher the price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to create a fair and efficient market for predicting the outcome of this football match.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether both Manchester United and Tottenham score at least one goal during the match. If both teams find the back of the net, the market will resolve positively; otherwise, it will resolve negatively. The final result will be determined by official match statistics, ensuring an objective and transparent resolution process for all participants.

Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to the match. Injury news regarding key attacking players for either Manchester United or Tottenham would be a significant catalyst. Changes in team form, tactical approaches, or even weather conditions could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or managerial decisions might also play a role. Any developments that alter the perceived likelihood of goals from either side are likely to cause movement in this market.
