Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, while this market is driven by participants directly forecasting the outcome. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see this market initially align with sportsbook odds, but diverge as new information emerges or as traders identify perceived mispricings. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view of the event’s probability.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing the outcome. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief about whether Manchester United and Bournemouth will score three or more goals. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded. The current price indicates the probability that the market assigns to this outcome, and it's constantly updated as new trades are executed. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to create a highly efficient and informative market.

This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Manchester United versus Bournemouth match will be used to determine if three or more total goals were scored. The resolution will be based on official match data and will be publicly available. It’s important to note that any goals scored during extra time or penalty shootouts will not be counted towards the total for this market. The outcome will be determined by the official result as recorded by the governing football authorities.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Manchester United or Bournemouth would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about starting lineups closer to the match time could also cause movement. Furthermore, any public statements from managers or players regarding their offensive strategies might influence how traders assess the likelihood of a high-scoring game. Monitoring these signals can help you understand potential shifts in this market.
