Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, being driven by the collective predictions of traders, tends to be more efficient and can sometimes offer more favorable odds, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. However, sportsbook odds reflect the views of professional oddsmakers and may incorporate different types of information, so discrepancies can occur. It’s always wise to compare both to inform your decisions.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of Manchester City winning by two or more goals. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective beliefs of the traders. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts, providing a real-time assessment of the likelihood of the outcome. The current price represents the market’s consensus view, and the volume traded indicates the strength of that conviction.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Manchester City versus Aston Villa match, specifically whether Manchester City won the game by a margin of two or more goals. The final score will be the determining factor, and the outcome will be verified against widely available and trusted sources of sports results. Traders will then be paid out or have their funds returned based on whether their prediction was correct.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Manchester City or Aston Villa would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by either manager, or even weather conditions on match day could all shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches involving these teams could also affect perceptions of their relative strengths. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of Manchester City winning by two or more goals has the potential to move this market.
