Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own insights. If a significant discrepancy emerges between this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of different outcomes. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more traders believe an outcome is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic pricing system that constantly adjusts based on collective intelligence.

This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the second half of the Malmo FF vs. Kalmar FF match. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in the market’s settlement, and any outstanding shares will be paid out according to the outcome. The platform will verify the result against official sources to ensure accuracy and transparency.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced by either Malmo FF or Kalmar FF could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role. Furthermore, real-time performance during the first half of the match, such as early goals or red cards, will likely have a significant impact on trading activity and the overall price of shares in this market.
