Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant number of traders believe an outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly, potentially offering better value than what’s available elsewhere. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment changes.
