Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market relies on the wisdom of the crowd. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. If a large number of people believe an outcome is likely, the odds on Polymarket may shift in that direction, even if sportsbooks maintain different probabilities. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, particularly in events with subjective elements.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. As more shares are purchased for a particular fighter, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher implied probability of victory. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, influenced by news, analysis, and the overall sentiment of the traders participating in the market. This creates a dynamic pricing system that attempts to accurately reflect the collective forecast.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Diogo Marques vs. Oleksii Krutykh fight, as declared by the relevant sporting authority. The fighter declared the winner will determine the outcome of this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is confirmed and the market is settled on Polymarket.

Unexpected analysis from MMA experts or shifts in public opinion, perhaps driven by social media discussions, could also play a role.
