Prediction market odds often differ from those found at sportsbooks, reflecting the wisdom of the crowd versus the assessments of professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome, potentially uncovering overlooked factors. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply a broader range of opinions represented in the prediction market. It’s common to see the odds on Polymarket shift as new information emerges and more traders participate, potentially leading to a more accurate forecast than traditional sources.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular boxer, the price of those shares increases, and the implied probability rises accordingly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market efficiently incorporates new information as traders react to news, injuries, or other relevant developments. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of participants.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result declared by the boxing commission overseeing the M25 Tamworth boxing match. The boxer declared the winner by the official decision will determine the winning outcome in this market. Any disputes or challenges to the official result will be considered according to Polymarket’s standard resolution procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent process for all participants.
