Prediction market odds often differ from those found at traditional sportsbooks due to the differing incentives and information sources of the participants. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, while prediction market participants are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets reflecting a 'wisdom of the crowd' effect, potentially offering more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches. However, sportsbooks may offer different types of wagers not available in this market, and their odds can be influenced by factors like public betting patterns.
