Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their individual assessment. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can express that view through trading activity here, potentially causing the odds to diverge. It’s common to see this market odds adjust as new information becomes available and public sentiment shifts.
