Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it might indicate that the market perceives information differently than sportsbooks, or that one venue has access to unique insights. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbook odds in accuracy, particularly when a large number of traders participate.
