Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often include a 'vig' or commission, impacting the implied probability. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders on Polymarket, aims to represent a more accurate assessment of the true probabilities. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts as new information and opinions emerge, potentially offering a more refined forecast of the match’s outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe Arthur Bouquier will win, the higher the price of shares representing his victory will climb, and vice versa for Maximilian Marterer. This creates a dynamic price discovery process.
This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Sarreguemines tennis match between Arthur Bouquier and Maximilian Marterer, as declared by the official tournament organizers. The winner of the match will determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially verified.
