Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources of the participants. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. This can lead to prediction markets reflecting a more accurate assessment of probabilities, particularly when there's a significant amount of information available. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes offer value, especially if they diverge substantially from this market, indicating a potential mispricing opportunity for informed bettors.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts accordingly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket, and isn’t influenced by external factors or a centralized price setter.

Several signals or events could significantly move this market before resolution. Any news regarding the fighters’ training, health, or potential injuries would likely impact the odds. Changes in public perception, influenced by pre-fight interviews or analysis from boxing experts, could also shift market sentiment. Unexpected betting patterns or large volume trades on Polymarket could also indicate new information or a change in confidence. Ultimately, any development that alters the perceived probability of either fighter winning will likely be reflected in the market price.
