Often, prediction market odds can differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources of the participants. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction markets reflect the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets identifying discrepancies or incorporating information faster than sportsbooks. It’s common to see this market reflect a different probability than what is implied by betting lines elsewhere, particularly as new information emerges.
