Prediction market odds often reflect a different set of information than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. This can lead to discrepancies, as prediction markets may more accurately reflect the true probabilities of an event occurring, especially when there is inside information or a strong consensus among informed bettors. It’s common to see differences in implied probabilities between this market and traditional sportsbooks, depending on public perception and available data.
