Often, prediction market odds, like those for this market, can differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd effect. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own analysis and a desire to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets reflect the collective beliefs of many individual traders. If a large number of people believe one outcome is more likely, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly, potentially diverging from sportsbook lines. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional forecasts, especially when complex factors are at play.
