On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. The price of each share reflects the market’s current assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective belief. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand; traders who believe an outcome is more likely will bid up its price, while those who believe it’s less likely will offer to sell at a lower price. This dynamic process creates a constantly updating probability assessment.
