Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. If a large number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, the prediction market may show a different probability for the same outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a wider range of participants contributing to the prediction market price. It’s important to compare both to gain a comprehensive view.
