Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market is driven by individuals wagering their own capital based on their beliefs about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event, or that new information hasn’t been fully incorporated into the sportsbook’s odds.
