Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a broader range of information and participant perspectives than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates the wisdom of the crowd. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those found here, it could indicate disagreement about key factors influencing the match. It's important to remember that both represent probabilities, but they are derived through different mechanisms and may respond to news and events at different speeds.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the match's potential results. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on new information and changing sentiment among traders.
