Typically, prediction market odds reflect a broader range of information and incentives than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those on Polymarket, it could indicate disagreement about the underlying probabilities or differing levels of information available to each group. It’s important to note that prediction markets can sometimes be more accurate than sportsbooks, particularly when complex factors are at play, but this is not always the case.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is driven by supply and demand, meaning that shifts in sentiment and new information can quickly impact the odds.
