Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each side interprets the available data. Comparing the odds can reveal where the crowd diverges from professional oddsmakers, potentially highlighting undervalued or overvalued outcomes.

The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand from traders on Polymarket, and it’s a dynamic process that adjusts as new information becomes available or sentiment shifts.
