Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market represents the collective beliefs of traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of each venue. If significant differences exist, it may indicate an opportunity for arbitrage, where traders can profit by exploiting the price difference between the two.

Unexpected results in other matches involving these players, or even broader tennis news, could also play a role. Furthermore, large trades on Polymarket itself can cause price fluctuations, especially if they represent a strong conviction about a particular outcome. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how this market evolves.
