Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may adjust less rapidly to new information. This market, driven by active traders, can incorporate news and sentiment quickly. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular outcome, or that new information hasn’t yet been fully factored into the sportsbook’s lines.
