Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what’s readily available to sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to odds that differ from traditional sources. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information or changing circumstances than sportsbooks, as the continuous trading process dynamically adjusts the probabilities. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing risk assessments and market participation.
