Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds due to varying information sources and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the crowd believes a sportsbook has mispriced the event. It’s important to note that prediction markets generally have lower liquidity than established sportsbooks, which can influence price movements.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy shares in a specific outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants. The current price indicates what traders, as a group, believe the likelihood is of a specific result in the Bax vs Loge match.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the M25 Luanda match between Florent Bax and Jack Loge, as reported by a recognized sports authority. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result.
