Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, aiming to profit regardless of the outcome. This market, however, is driven by the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the result. As a result, the implied probabilities from Polymarket can sometimes diverge from sportsbook lines, potentially offering value to informed bettors who identify discrepancies. It’s important to compare both to get a well-rounded view of the expected outcome.
