Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own modeling and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. It’s common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information, as traders react instantly to news and analysis. Examining both sets of odds can provide a more comprehensive view of the potential outcomes.
