Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders, aims to reflect the true probability of an outcome, though discrepancies can and do occur. These differences can arise from varying levels of information, differing opinions on player form, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand within the prediction market itself. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to reflect the latest information and collective wisdom of the traders participating in this market for the Kigali tennis match.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
