Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of each market. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, especially when new developments emerge that affect the perceived probability of a particular boxer winning.
