Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like house bias or initial public perception. Sportsbooks may set initial lines to attract action on both sides, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, or simply the diverse opinions of participants. It’s common to see prediction markets converge towards the true probability as more information becomes available, but they aren’t always in alignment with traditional betting odds.
