Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own analysis and to balance betting action, while this market is driven by individuals freely trading based on their own beliefs. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that new information hasn't yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines.
