Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring profit regardless of the outcome, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each result. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, varying levels of expertise among participants, and the influence of market sentiment. If there's a significant difference, it might indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the event, or vice versa.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the collective wisdom of the traders participating in this market. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date information and sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Radovan Michalik vs Filip Czyrek match, as reported by the governing body of the M15 Szabolcsveresmart tournament. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly.
