Prediction market odds often differ from those found at traditional sportsbooks due to the differing incentives and information sources of the participants. Sportsbooks set odds to ensure profitability, while prediction market participants are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets reflecting a more accurate 'wisdom of the crowd' assessment. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when new information emerges or public sentiment shifts, as this market reacts to information differently than fixed-odds betting.
