Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd assessment, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their books and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the aggregate beliefs of informed traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that new information hasn't fully been incorporated into the sportsbook's lines. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than traditional betting venues.
