Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market’s odds are driven by actual money being wagered. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced the outcome, the odds here can move in the opposite direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a large amount of trading occurs.
