Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, and may be influenced by public betting patterns. This market, however, represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. While sportsbook odds may initially differ, they often converge as more information becomes available and traders refine their predictions. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early on, as prediction markets can incorporate more nuanced information.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The market’s depth and volume indicate the level of confidence traders have in their predictions, and the price movements provide a real-time assessment of the event’s potential outcomes.

This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results of the M15 Singapore match, as reported by the tournament organizers. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual result. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at the time of resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes in playing conditions could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in preceding matches for either Adhithya Ganesan or Ren Nakamura could also impact the odds. Furthermore, broader tennis news, such as weather forecasts for Singapore or updates on the tournament schedule, could introduce volatility. Increased trading volume, driven by new information or strategic trading activity, will also contribute to price movements in this market.
